Survey & Location Data
Exploration produces physical, region-bound survey packets. A capable Research facility or onboard scientific-analysis system can correlate the required packet mix into tradable Location Data tied to the same region and an authored site family.
Location Data is built from evidence, not spawned directly by Exploration.
Each authored analysis offer consumes specific region-marked survey resources and requires enough analysis capability. Some deeper offers can also require previously learned evidence. Processing preserves the source region and produces one physical Location Data marker in ship cargo rather than immediately creating a site.
The access window begins when you use the marker.
Location Data can sit in storage indefinitely. To use it, place the marker aboard the active ship, travel to its exact source region, make sure you are not already inside another temporary site, then activate it. The marker is consumed and a precise temporary sub-location appears with its authored lifetime, stability, and any ship-mass or evidence requirements.
Survey classes remain bounded by authored geography.
Across Sol, survey systems support authored classes such as general, mineral, rare-metal, wreck, signal, volatile, gas, and anomaly evidence. A processed marker points to a compatible site family in the same region; it never turns one region's information into an unrelated opportunity somewhere else.
